Perit Stephen Bonello graduated in Architecture and Civil Engineering from the University of Malta in 1988 and obtained an MSc in Structural Engineering from the University of Surrey, UK, in 2014. In 2014 he was appointed Head of the Marine, Storm Water and Valley Management Unit and in 2018 he was appointed Director General of the Works and Infrastructure Department. As from July 2025 he occupies the post of Director General of the Works Division within the Public Works Department.
PERIT NADIA GATT CURMI
Perit Nadia Gatt Curmi is a qualified Maltese architect and public official known for her work in Malta’s infrastructure and public works sector. She began her career in private architectural practice before joining the public service, where in 2017 she was appointed Director of Project Design and Engineering. Since 2025, Perit Gatt Curmi occupies the post of Director General of the Community Projects Division within the Public Works Department. Her extensive experience in the design, management and implementation of national infrastructure and restoration projects are an asset to her role in overseeing major infrastructure and restoration projects, including public spaces, urban regeneration, heritage sites and playground development.
