The Public Works Department has announced a holistic and sustainable project for the regeneration of the Birżebbuġa promenade. Spanning over one and a half kilometres, it stretches from the Ferretti Battery to the Waterpolo Pitch. The project will include an underground car park, five open spaces, and a dedicated cycling lane, among other features. A €12 million investment will be made for this initiative, which also saw contributions from University of Malta students.
