The slipway at Little Armier was reconstructed and widened to meet the greater demand by boat owners in this area.
The slipway in Mistra Bay was totally reconstructed after it had suffered damages due to inclement weather and lack of maintenance in recent years. It is now fully operational and being used by boat owners in this area.
During the last years various inspections and interventions were carried out at various locations around the coast to establish the locations of dangerous spots along the coastline.
Signs were set up at various coastal locations deemed to pose a danger to the public due to the geological properties of the rock. At other locations a fence to limit access to the area was installed.
A rock net was installed along the cliff face at Għar Lapsi. The stainless-steel net covering an area of approximately 580 square meters was installed so that rock that is eroding from the cliff face can be retained and held by the netting, thus avoiding serious injury to the general public using this popular swimming area.
